Based at La Hure Mare, we operate the largest commercial garage on the Island. Our workshop houses all the equipment you would expect to see in a modern commercial garage and provides an excellent place for personal and career development. The garage underpins our ability to function as a business and is integral to the delivery of our core services. Our team of Technicians maintain States Works large and other clients large and varied vehicle fleet including:
- Sewage tankers
- Refuse compactor vehicles (RCV's)
- Road sweepers
- Light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles
- Heavy plant
The team undertakes a range of general maintenance and repair work (including a schedule of vehicle servicing) and also attends to any emergency breakdowns to our fleet whether that be road-side or on one of our various sites. One of the team is always available 24/7 to deal with emergency situations with our fleet that may arise outside of core working hours.
Our Technicians are provided with a range of training and development tools including specialist manufacturer training for when working on vehicles such as Johnston or Scarab.
